The ION TTUSB is able to playback both 33 1/3 and 45 rpm vinyl records and records 78s with the included software that will work with either a PC or a Mac computer.

When using the ION TTUSB, follow normal, good recording habits. Dust free records, a balanced stylus arm, and minimal external vibrations will keep you recording for quite some time.

If you have many records to transfer, you need to plan to spend a lot of quality time with your equipment. Remember, you are transferring analog sound to digital sound and that is not going to happen at warp speed. You will need to transcribe album information and track names into the computer program. ION does provide the ability for PC owners to download a version of EZ Vinyl Converter free that will automatically add album, artist, and son information for you. You will need to listen to the entire song or album that is recording to know when to stop or start the turntable.

Currently, there are three USB turntable models in the ION product lineup. There is the ION TTUSB05, the ION TTUSB, and the ION TTUSB10. All three units feature plug and play technology for connecting to either a PC or a Mac computer. All three units have 33 1/3 and 45 rpm playback capabilities. Each unit also provides for 78 rpm recording with included recording software.

The ION TTUSB05 features an auto-return after playback completes. This is a great feature to have if you happen to leave the unit before it reaches the end of the record, thus preventing possible record damage.

The ION TTUSB10 and the ION TTUSB both feature a line input jack enabling the connection of other music sources. This then allows other music sources, such as cassette decks, to send music to your computer for digitizing.
